What I Wore: The Calendar Says Spring...

It's been awhile since I've done an outfit post. I'm taking photos occasionally, so now I have a few outfits to share. I wanted to participate this week in Greater Than Rubies' On Trend Secondhand Remix Rewear Restyle this week, since you all know how much I love thrifting and garage sales. :)

The biggest challenge over the past couple of weeks is trying to dress "springy" when it's still so cold! It's snowing again here right now and it's been in the low 20's in the mornings. I tried to wear flats without socks yesterday and was so cold!

First up is today's outfit.

Black Pants: Dockers, Cardigan: Kohl's, Shirt: Apt. 9 via Goodwill, Earrings: Avon, Necklace: Elder-Beerman, Wedge Boots: KMart

This black and white floral blouse was a Goodwill find last year. I love this style of florals in clothing and fabric and black and white is really popular right now, plus it never really goes out of style. :)

Oatmeal Sweater: Target, Chambray: K…

Currently Loving - March 15

Anna over at Happy Medley started a new link up called Currently Loving, focusing on things we already have and love, instead of focusing on what we want next. I thought it was a great idea, so here are a few of my current favorites.

Favorites March 15, 2014 by gracenote30 featuring crossbody handbags 1. I've been burning candles again. I usually favor food or fruit scents. Right now, I've been enjoying my Yankee Candle Vanilla Frosting candle that I picked up at Target for a great deal a few months ago. 2. I picked up a new pair of gold hoops from Avon and I love them! They will be in the brochure soon, but I got a chance to order and preview them. They are a simple textured 1" hoop. I find myself reaching for jewelry basics like these often. 3. Real Simple is one of my favorite magazines. I earned a free subscription through RecycleBank awhile ago, which is great because it is a usually a more expensive subscription. 4. I've been on the hunt for a new purse as a replacem…

What I Wore: Colored Cardigan and Spring Florals

Still dealing with chilly temps here, but we did break 50 on Friday and it was amazing! I actually have been out to run twice this month already. It has been a hard winter for outdoor exercising! Anyway, on to the outfits!

Black Pants: Dockers, Gray Tee: Old Navy, Cardigan: Kohl's, Scarf: Avon, Leopard Flats: Payless

Floral Sweatshirt: Old Navy, Lilac Blouse: Liz Claiborne/JCPenney, Jeans: Elle (garage sale), Boots: Target, Necklace: Charming Charlie (gift) I had some Old Navy rewards that came through right before Lent started, so I picked up a gray long-sleeve tee (in the first outfit) and the floral print sweatshirt (in the second outfit). I've already worn the sweatshirt twice! I love the colors and the fact that it is springy looking, but still warm enough for chilly weather. I'm linking up! What I Wore: Black and White

Well, winter is certainly holding on here! We woke up to single digit temperatures again this morning. I definitely am getting worn out wearing all this winter clothing and am trying to find some ways to add in more spring-like colors and patterns. When it was 40 degress on Saturday, I even wore my flats! :)

The Remix, Rewear, Restyle challenge this week is florals for winter into spring. I don't have a lot of floral pieces, but decided to try this black and white floral cardigan. I paired it with a fun new striped and polka dotted scarf from Avon.

Cardigan: Wal-Mart (really old!), Scarf: Avon, Black Tee: Merona, Skinnies: Denizen (Target), Boots: Sears
