Bags and a Sale

I inventoried my fabric last week and am now working on using up some of my fabric. I've made a few more messenger bags like these. I am also planning to add some to the shop. We'd love your ideas on colors, prices, etc, so leave a comment!

This pastel one is made from Erin McMorris' Weekend line. This fabric was a gift for my birthday. I made this bag as a DVD carrying case for my mom.

I wanted to also share a couple of fun giveaways that we won recently. One was a $50 gift certificate from Dayspring given away by Studio JRU. (Check out her awesome shop, too!) I got my Christmas cards for next year, plus a new travel coffee mug and a bunch of other goodies - so cool, thank you!

We also are awaiting our prize from Undercover Crafter - 11 FQ's of Amy Butler's Soul Blossoms fabric. We can't wait to see this fabric in person!!

I want to end with a quick promo for our 40% placemat sale going on through Sunday night. Lots of great deals and pretty choices, so take a …

Some Projects Finished (and New Fabric)

Well, I am excited to say I am finishing some projects! Here are few recent finishes.

Some quilted placemats - I leave my snowmen up most of the month, so I knew I had time to enjoy these.

A flannel baby blanket for my husband's cousin - love the giraffe!

I also made a really fun red floral messenger bag from this tutorial. I love it! I have plans to make at least 3 more - not all for me, but for gifts, too!

We've been adding lots of new things to the shop, including some of this blue Willow berry fabric!

I am thrilled to have found this locally - at Joann Fabric, no less! I am going to make new kitchen curtains from it, and we're going to make a bag holder for the shop, too! Yardage was just listed in the shop today. Look for more coffee cozies, tea wallets, and bag holders coming soon - plus some new items like round tablecloths and table squares.

If you see something you like in the shop, use coupon code JAN11 to save 11% shop wide. We also have a big placemat sale coming thi…

Happy New Year (and a Sale!)

Well, 2011 is here! We had a lovely Christmas and New Year's...even some warmer weather that allowed us to get outside! In fact, my husband is outside right now putting together our daughter's new swing set - it's cold, but sunny!

I'm not one for making resolutions, but I do love implementing new ideas and starting new routines, and the new year seems to be a good time for these things.
A few of my ideas include:
Reading my Bible regularly - anyone have a good blog or web site with good devotionals or a reading plan?Including some new things in my daughter's preschool that we have here at home. I'd like to include more Bible verses and songs for her (she is learning songs like crazy right now), and also begin working on some beginning reading skills and activities.Keep better track of the projects I make. I know I made a lot of things this year, but lots of them didn't get photographed! I'd like a record of what I have made to look back on since many thing…
