Simple Frugal Statement Necklace DIY

A couple weeks ago, I was in the mood to make a simple project and I decided I wanted to make some jewelry. I hunted around and came across this tutorial on Pinterest for a simple statement necklace.

I purchased some similar supplies including:
  • Set of large red stones ($2)
  • Set of small bronze beads ($1)
  • Package of jewelry findings that included jump rings, wire, and the necklace clasps ($3.20)
Total cost: $6.20 and the jewelry findings set has enough supplies to make at least 4-5 more necklaces, taking the cost down even more.

Here's my finished necklace! You can see how I wore it here.

I really enjoyed making it and am filing this idea away for future gifts and may even make a few more for myself!

Wooow that's a good price but very cute! I'm always creating different DIY necklaces and getting my necklace chains from M&J Trimming. You should totally check their website out. They have a great selection and such durable chains. Plus, it's 15% off all chains until 8/31/13. The promo code is CHAIN201 and the link is http://www.mjtrim.com/chains.html

Good luck with the rest of your creations!
