I haven't posted in awhile, but have been busy sewing! Mom and I decided not to buy any new fabric during Lent, so we've both been working on projects from fabric in our stash, which I've enjoyed immensely. Lots of times one of us will make something and then give the scraps to the other - which often turn into a mug rug, tea wallet, or other small item. Super fun!
I've made a couple of messenger bags as birthday presents, some pieced and quilted tabletoppers for our home out of Meadowsweet 2 (purchased at Sewtropolis), and two skirts and a pair of ruffled pants for my daughter. I have loved making the clothes for my daughter - and she likes wearing them. One skirt used Jennifer Paganelli's Dance with Me and second skirt is a combination of Alexander Henry's Starling in pink and Amy Butler's Martini dot in pink and orange.
Next up? An Easter dress for my daughter and a skirt for me...I am procrastinating on these because I am afraid they won't turn out, the dress especially! I also have a new mug rug cut and ready to sew up this weekend. I bought an adorable bicycle stamp that I can't wait to make into cards!
In other exciting news, we hit 300 sales in the shop! We are thrilled - look for a fun giveaway coming up soon.
I'm linking up here and here today - check out what everyone else is working on and leave me a comment about your projects; I'd love to hear!
