Springtime Sewing

I haven't posted in awhile, but have been busy sewing! Mom and I decided not to buy any new fabric during Lent, so we've both been working on projects from fabric in our stash, which I've enjoyed immensely. Lots of times one of us will make something and then give the scraps to the other - which often turn into a mug rug, tea wallet, or other small item. Super fun!

I've made a couple of messenger bags as birthday presents, some pieced and quilted tabletoppers for our home out of Meadowsweet 2 (purchased at Sewtropolis), and two skirts and a pair of ruffled pants for my daughter. I have loved making the clothes for my daughter - and she likes wearing them. One skirt used Jennifer Paganelli's Dance with Me and second skirt is a combination of Alexander Henry's Starling in pink and Amy Butler's Martini dot in pink and orange.
Next up? An Easter dress for my daughter and a skirt for me...I am procrastinating on these because I am afraid they won't turn out, the dress especially! I also have a new mug rug cut and ready to sew up this weekend. I bought an adorable bicycle stamp that I can't wait to make into cards!

In other exciting news, we hit 300 sales in the shop! We are thrilled - look for a fun giveaway coming up soon.

I'm linking up here and here today - check out what everyone else is working on and leave me a comment about your projects; I'd love to hear!

I love the patchwork skirt! Most of my problem in trying to use up my stash lately is that it is all small pieces- 1/4 or 1/2 yard- from me getting little bits for quilting.
Congrats on the 300 mark, too!!!

What a cute skirt! Congrats on 300 sales in your shop. I'm a fellow Etsian, so I know the thrill of hitting a landmark number in sales (although my only landmark is 100! LOL).

Love all these pretty patterns and gorgeous colors! What a great idea to work through your fabric stash. I need to do that with my paper! You have some great projects here... so happy you shared them with us for 'studio sneak peek'! :)

Love all the fabrics and so understand you getting into a sewing spree...I tend to do that ;) I'll get into a cooking frenzy, then a sewing spree, then an organization mode (like this week ;) and then an art journal marathon. I take my creativity as it comes and enjoy all aspects of it. It's Sat. night and DH is watching Nascar so I'm taking the time to catch up on my blog hops. Having a great time with the Sneak Peak Friday and all you wonderfully talented woman...almost intimiated ;) Have a wonderful weekend. Fondly, Roberta
