Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a pleasant, relaxing weekend. We did some fun things this weekend, but also tried to rest and relax, too. Last week was pretty hectic - my daughter had Safety Town and both my parents have upcoming (unexpected) surgeries, so we needed a bit of catch up time.

We visited a local festival on Friday evening after dinner at Bob Evans' (using a good coupon). I really enjoyed the strawberry lemonade at dinner and it was a beautiful night to walk around outside. On Saturday, we visited a couple of garage sales and found a couple of things including an Exersaucer for our church nursery and the pretty juice glasses pictured above. I also got a large cork board for a $1 at a garage sale on Friday and I am trying to figure out where I'd like to hang it after I get it fixed up by covering it with fabric. :) We also did the requisite grocery shopping for the week and enjoyed dinner with my parents.

On Sunday, my husband and I both contributed music to our morning service and taught Sunday School. We packed lunch and headed to a local antiques festival in a neighboring town. I was looking for Pyrex - preferably pink - but didn't find any. One of the sweet vendors gifted my daughter with this darling little play typewriter. She loves it. We've been reading the American Girl Kit Kittredge series of books, so she's been pretending to write her newspaper on the typewriter. We also got some delicious Peanut Butter Cup ice cream.

We are also running a Christmas in July special in the shop - 15% off any order with coupon code CIJ15. The discount is good through next Sunday, July 21.

I'm also still participating in the Chippmunk expert shopper contest, so if you have a moment, stop by and vote by clicking on the Love It button!

What did you do during this summer time weekend? Any plans for the week?

I'm linking up!
