Blogger's Quilt Festival: Scrappy Books

I shared pictures of this quilt recently, but wanted to write a little more info about it and link up with the Blogger's Quilt Festival!

I made this quilt out of 4 rows of 5" squares and 3 half yards. I cut the squares (40 total from scraps out of my stash. I purchased the book fabric (Somerville Study in Tawny Plum by Alexander Henry) and the Bangle Dots fabric for the half yard sections and also used the Bangle Dots for the backing.

The quilt is machine quilted on my home machine using straight lines horizontally across the quilt. I finished the quilt envelope style using tips and a tutorial found at Red Pepper Quilts. Finished size is approximately 67" long by 40" wide.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out all the other amazing quilts!

Great quilt! I knew it had to be done by a librarian! (Only because I am one!)
