The rhyming text in this book makes it wonderful for teaching phonological awareness, though. I decided to try this idea for edible finger paints from Blissfully Domestic. Instead of yogurt, we used tinted vanilla pudding. Here are some pictures of the prep and the "finished" product. My LO (15 months) didn't know what to think of this activity, but I will definitely try again. She seemed to like "painting" on her high chair tray instead of the paper.
