Today is Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day! We love participating in this event. It is so fun to discover new blogs and hear from lots of people!

This year, we're giving away the 3 fat quarters pictured below (Amy Butler and Anna Maria Horner!) plus your choice of either a pattern or a scrap bundle from our shop.


To enter, leave a comment about your favorite spring/summer tradition or your favorite vacation destination.

Hmmm... we have never really taken a family vacation. Last year we did go to a nearby state park that has a "beach" and picnic area. The kids loved that! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!!

My favorite vacation spot is without a doubt, Lake Superior. It's a few hours from my house, and it's always windy and a little chilly, but the lake is just gorgeous! So clear and just huge!

I love relaxing at my local quilt guild's retreat... by relaxing i mean sewing all night and all day for a whole weekend! :) I unfortunately missed the spring retreat this year, but hope to get into the fall one! :)

I live on the rainy side of the Big Island of Hawaii. My favorite mini-vacation is to drive over to the sunny/beachy side for a day or two. The landscape is so different, it's like being someplace totally different -- without five hours on a plane to get there.

Favorite tradition is going to the daytime fireworks at Mount Vernon for the 4th of July! Plus they give out free "Happy Birthday, America" cake! :-)

Oh, so many lovely places, but I'm going to pick Hawaii. I didn't think I was a beach girl (think castles and rainy moors for me) but my husband took me and it was AWESOME. But we have lovely, lovely spots so close to us in the Rockies for family holidays I would recommend to anyone :)

My favorite summer activity/vacation is to go to the beach for a week.(St. Augustine, FL) My whole family rents a big house on the beach and we spend a week swimming, sunning, touring, and EATING! But most of all, just being together. Great fabric choices!

Almost every summer I´ve been visiting my grandmother´s home. She´s been dead for years, but the house is still in the family. Now my sister moved in there, so this summer it will be great to visit her!!!!

Before my kids graduated and left home we always went to see family in Minnesota for 2-3 weeks each summer. It will be nice that we are having a family reunion and they will be able to go along this year.

My favourite destination is a lake up in Northern(ish) Saskatchewan, where I'm from. It's a really narrow but long lake and when I was young (and we had a canoe) we'd go canoe across the lake and... I don't know what, really. There wasn't a campground or anything there, but yeah. I loved going up there and haven't been in a few years.

I would always love putting the garden in with my kids. They liked to plant about any thing that would grow regardless if any one wanted to eat it. Now they are out of the house and I just plant flowers instead.

we live next to my parents, they live on 5 acres and we live on 8 acres. My dad and husband have developed a little spot between our properties we call "the park". We try to have a coffee in the park at least once a day. Sometimes it is just me sometimes it is a crowd of 12.
