Look What We Found!

We went in to Joann Fabric this morning. I was looking for some adorable knit apple fabric (found here). We didn't find that fabric, but some of the girls at our store were unwrapping some new bolts of fabric - including 3 from the Sugar Creek line by Denyse Schmidt! They are so pretty! We did list a fat quarter bundle in the shop if you are interested.

The icing on the cake was finding some gorgeous designer prints in the rolled fat quarters - Sandi Henderson and Paula Prass. I just love the orange.

We also had a great morning at garage sales and I found some great things at Goodwill this week. Hope to share soon!

On a side note, we are planning a giveaway (just because) very soon. I have a pattern, some trims, purse handles, and maybe some fat quarters of some new fabrics! Stay tuned! Have a great Friday!!

Trying Something New

A few months ago, I found some sweet vintage spools of thread that used to my grandma's. I brought them home and photographed them in a variety of different arrangements. Tonight, I finally got a chance to play around with them in Picnik and sent them to a one hour photo place to be developed and picked up tomorrow. I did a series of 3 photos, and I'd like to share one of them with you!

Just click on the photo to make it full-sized, then right click to save it on your computer. Then, go ahead and print it out and frame it. Mine are going in my sewing room/computer room/daughter's playroom & school room (in small houses, multi-tasking rooms are a must!). Let me know if it works and is something you can use!
